OAG Fact Sheet

The Operation Andrew Group (OAG) was launched following the 2000 Greater Nashville and Middle Tennessee Billy Graham Crusade to promote “unity for the sake of Christ’s mission” in our city.  Our mission statement: We are followers of Jesus Christ, united in service to help spiritually and socially transform communities in Middle Tennessee.

Operation Andrew conducts quarterly “Lunches to Learn”, providing pastors from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to deepen relationships and participate in an inspirational and effective learning experience.

Over 250 churches from a broad spectrum of Christian faith traditions join with OAG to meet the spiritual and social needs of Nashville and Middle Tennessee.

OAG has partnered with the YMCA of Middle Tennessee for the last five years to sponsor a National Day of Prayer Event downtown to pray for our nation, our state, and our communities.  OAG also partners with the YMCA to host the annual City-Wide Thanksgiving Service. The offering from this event goes to benefit a local ministry.

OAG’s Pastoral Leadership Academy, offered through a partnership with the Human Capital Group, provides high-impact leadership training for pastors in a small-group setting.

OAG organizes biannual Prayer Summits for local pastors and church leaders, providing an opportunity to come together to build transformational relationships while praying for one another and for the city.

Over 15 partnerships with businesses and churches have been established to meet immediate and long-term community needs.  One example is the Spruce Street Baptist Church partnership, which helps to feed over 200 homeless men and women every week through the generous donations of two local businesses and one church.

In 2008, Operation Andrew joined with Metro Schools for the “LOVE Maplewood” Pilot Project at Maplewood High School in North Nashville to support and encourage the school’s staff and students.

Our theme verse is:  “…that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.  May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me”.  John 17:21 (NIV)

“I have worked with many faith-based organizations over the years and have seen a real need for the unification of those organizations with churches and other ministries to effectively impact our city.  Operation Andrew is truly a reconciling force, a unifying body, an agent of change in the Body of Christ that impacts the city of Nashville in a unique way.”
Bill Lee, President, Lee Company

“I am a proud board member of the Operation Andrew Group because she is becoming the sacred trust for many pastors and laity in the Middle Tennessee area.  The centrality of her core biblical belief, advocacy of unity in the body of Christ and the uniqueness of her organizational efforts to tear down the socio-political and sectarian walls that have divided and polarized our Christian/religious community have endeared her to me.  I believe OAG to be a treasure in the field.”
