United4Hope creates partnerships between schools and churches so that Nashville's children can thrive. The challenges our students experience is an opportunity for the whole community to come together.
When schools, churches, businesses and the community come together - We are UNITE4HOPE - we bring hope with ongoing commitment. The challenges our children face in our schools, are not a school problem, it's a community opportunity.
UNITE4HOPE - for the sake of the children - to give them a hope and a future.
History of United4Hope
In 2011, a proposal was submitted by the OAG leadership to their Board of Trustees to launch a visible, tangible expression of unity within the diverse gathering of denominations called The Operation Andrew Group. The goal was to address the needs of children and their families served by the Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS). A meeting of church and community leaders gathered to identify congregations desiring to partner with MNPS schools that did not meet AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) standards. The resulting partnerships launched United4Hope, serving our city in the 2011-2012 academic year.
